At SuperMicroBike.com our passion is bicycles and we enjoy what we do. Our bikes were originally designed for racing, but our ultimate goal is to produce a bike that is safe on city streets and country roads. See our “New Developments” section below. SuperMicroBike is owned and operated by Jeffrey-James who has been riding bike since age five.
A simultaneous goal is to provide the opportunity for anyone to reduce their impact footprint on the world. The average American throws over 600 lbs of pollutants into the air each year driving an automobile. Combined, cars, SUV’s and light trucks contribute more than 300 million tons of carbon dioxide (the dominant greenhouse gas) each year to the atmosphere. Here at Super Micro Bike, we encourage commuting and everyday travel by bike rather than motorized vehicle to reduce your overall impact. We also are minimizing our manufacturing impact by using environmentally friendly materials and processes as well as recycled materials whenever feasible.

The original MicroBike was birthed in 1996 out of an idea and some retrofitted parts. The MicroBike was rewarded the best innovative bike award in 1998 for its innovative front wheel drive design. Jeffrey-James raced this bike in the stock class for several years. Some of the most notable races are: · 1998 World HPV Championship, Indianapolis IN (3rd in class) · 1998 Minnesota HPVA HPV HPRA Race, Minneapolis MN (1st in class) · 1999 North American HPV Championship, Sparta WI (1st in class – superstock) · 1999 Bryant Tucker 100 HPRA HPV Race, (Velodrome) Northbrook IL and WISIL Cheddar Cheese Challenge, Kenosha WI (3rd in class – superstock, 6th overall) · 2000 Minnesota Campus Criterion State Championship, Minneapolis MN (1st in class) · 2000 HPRA Race, Selma AL (5th in 30min time trial, 5th in class)
Designed and built in 1999, the Luge was designed to be even lower and more aerodynamic than the MicroBike. Similar to the MicroBike, Jeffrey-James raced the Luge in speed races around the world. · 1999 World HPV Championship, Interlachen Switzerland · 2000 WISIL Cheddar Cheese Challenge, Kenosha WI (3rd in 200m sprint, 4th in time trial, 4th in last man out) · 2000 Bryant Tucker 100/50 HPVR Velodrome Race, Northbrook IL (6th in 1K time trial, 4th in 50 lap) · 2001 Wisconsin HPV Classic, Sparta WI (3rd in drag race, 2nd in 200m sprint, 2nd in 30 lap race, 2nd in last man out)

| To make a bicycle that is safe to ride among cars. |
| We are currently in the process of supersizing the Microbike 349 with a full fairing. The fairing will enhance the speed of the bike by significantly reducing the frictional air resistance. The shell will enable the rider to easily pedal at the same speed as automobile traffic. In addition, the shell will improve the safety of the human powered vehicle (HPV), effectively acting like a helmet around the entire bike and rider. This Super Micro Bike will make it possible for bicycles to safely maneuver amongst cars on city streets and country roads. |
